Winter is on its way and it’s time for many creatures to fill up on their favourite snacks and hunker down somewhere safe until springtime. We’ll be celebrating some of our favourite British hibernators as we sculpt hedgehogs, craft dormice and learn all about why some animals take a very long winter nap!

Our gentle, fact-filled storybook Winter Sleep: A Hibernation Story by Sean Taylor & Alex Morss is a wonderful introduction to the way a whole variety of different animals tuck themselves up for a long sleep until the warmer spring weather arrives. Join us as we create our very own little dormouse finger puppets and delve into their woodland life – foraging for supplies, making nests and snuggling down for a long snooze through the winter months.
